A Visit from the Goon Squad, by Jennifer Egan

I finally finished it. The last chapter is SO worth it. The powerpoint chapter, strangely heartbreaking. I'm of a mind to type it all up in block-text form and see if that would have the same effect.
The last Jennifer Egan book I'd read before this one was The Invisible Circus. Paris, hippies, coming-of-age. I thought I'd like it, but didn't.
This, however, is something else. It reads very smoothly.
I'm going to read it again.
