How to Traverse Terra Incognita, by Dean Alfar

-----------------

Halfway through (according to the Kindle). The little one laughed through, "Poor, Poor Luisa" (her favorite) and, with me, wept over "Packing for the Moon" (possibly my favorite--and it isn't even speculative fiction)--both of which we've read before. Also favorites are "Ghosts of Wan Chai" (previously published in an anthology of travel writing by Filipinos edited by Ruey De Vera), and "Strange Weather" (PSF 6). Found "Simon's Replica" poignant, and quite taken with the premise of "In the City of a Thousand Gods" and the world-building undertaken in "Fallow's Flight".
